Keep reading for some general tips we recommend for washing your lingerie.

1. Cold Hand Wash Only
Seira Lace garments are delicate and should always be hand washed. Gently wash them in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid machine washing, as it can cause underwires to pop out, lace to tear, and embellishments to deteriorate.
2. Wash With Like Colours
To prevent color transfer, always wash similar colors together. Dark or brightly colored items may release excess dye, which can stain lighter pieces. Washing separately helps maintain the vibrancy of your lingerie.
3. Do Not Soak
We do not recommend soaking your lingerie for more than a few seconds, as prolonged exposure to water and detergent can cause colors to fade, run, or transfer. Instead, wash and rinse promptly to preserve the quality of your pieces.

4. Do Not Tumble Dry
Seira Lace pieces are too delicate for the dryer—keep them away to prevent damage.
5. Dry Flat in Shade
To maintain the shape and elasticity of your lingerie, lay it flat on a towel to dry in the shade. Avoid hanging, as this can stretch the elastic and weaken the fabric over time.
5. Do Not Bleach
Bleach can damage delicate lace and trims, causing discoloration and fabric deterioration. Always use a gentle, bleach-free detergent to preserve your lingerie.
7. Store With Care
To protect your lingerie, store it neatly in a separate laundry bag or a designated lingerie drawer. This helps prevent snags, stretching, and damage from other garments. Proper storage ensures your pieces stay in beautiful condition for longer.
Extra Lingerie Care Tips
+ Fasten clasps before washing – This prevents hooks from snagging on delicate lace or fabric, reducing the risk of tearing.
+ Shower wash hack – Short on time? Bring your lingerie into the shower for a quick, gentle rinse while you wash.
+ Be mindful of embellishments – If your piece has metallic embroidery or jewel/shimmering embellishments, try to keep these areas as dry as possible while focusing on washing the gusset, cup lining, and straps.
Caring for your lingerie may take a little extra effort, but trust us—it’s worth it for keeping your pieces beautiful and long lasting!
